Aberdeen College is certified to the accredited Environmental Management System, ISO14001 (the internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses).

Basically, the standard prescribes controls for activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste and energy consumption. As well as protecting the environment, the College also makes savings through improved efficiency and productivity by minimising waste and disposing of it more effectively (re-cycling) and by using energy more efficiently.
