Accessing the student wireless network

Web authentication

Right click on your wireless icon which can be found at the bottom right hand corner of the screen in your task bar and select view available wireless networks.

This will bring up a list of networks up on your screen.  Click on the network ‘Student’ and click the connect button at the bottom right of the window.

Once the network is connected, close the wireless Network connection window using the red X in the top right hand corner of the window.

After you have closed the wireless window open up your web browser (such as Internet Explorer).  You may be prompted by a security alert asking you to install a certificate.  Select yes at this point. If not the certificate is already installed on your machine and you can login as normal.

Once you are at the login page, read the user notice and tick the confirm box.  This is where you are to type in your user name and password into the required boxes. 

If successful you will be authenticated onto the network and see the message below.

If authentication fails you will receive the message below.
