Clubs & Societies

Coming to College isn't just about lectures, coursework and essays. There is a whole world of fun out there as well that you now have access to! As a student of Aberdeen College you can get involved in numerous Clubs and Societies.

A few are run by the Students' Association here at Gallowgate. Last year we had Clubs ranging from Outdoor Volleyball to the Zombie and Monster Society! But if those don't take your fancy then why not start your own club? With the help of the Students' Association you can set up pretty much anything you like! In the past there have been Paintball, Indoor Football and Badminton Cubs as well as an International Students Society.

But the best news is that you are not restricted to just what Aberdeen College has to offer. You are fully entitled to join any Society at Robert Gordon University. Their Societies include Computer Gaming, Juggling, The Pirate Society, Drama, the Christian Union, the rather brilliant Toast Society and many many more.

Sadly at the moment Aberdeen College Students cannot join their Sporting Clubs. But rest assured the Students' Association is working on this! The good news is that with your College Student card you do have full access to the RGU Union and all its facilities.

If you are interested in starting a club or joining an existing one here or at RGU then just drop in past the Students' Association in EG3 (next to main reception) or e-mail us at
