Adjustable height tables

Specifically designed for wheelchair users, the table has a work surface with a cut out area for access and a built in hand crank for height adjustment.

Card readers and storage devices

Card readers allow user to download photographs from cameras or mobile phones directly on to a computer, in order that they can be viewed, saved and manipulated. Floppy drives have been superseded by more modern storage devices such as CD ROMs and memory sticks. External floppy drives are available in the IT Centre for users wishing to open files that have been saved on floppy discs.

Custom left-handed mouse

Specifically designed for left-handed computer users, the IT Centre provides a custom designed left handed mouse.

Different keyboards

The IT Centre offer a variety of different keyboards, aimed to help users.  These include metal encased keyboards designed curving of the wrist, large key keyboards for the visually impaired and combination keyboards and trackerball.

Document holders

Effectively an easel for documents, this handy device positions documents to the most appropriate height and angle for ease of use.

Foot-rests

Height adjustable foot rests are designed to keep users’ feet supported, easing pressure on the lower back and reducing the chance of leg problems caused by extended inactivity.

Laptop stands

Adjustable laptop stands offering optional viewing angles for increased comfort.

Scanners

Ideal for loading pictures, images and photographic prints to a computer, scanners are pre-loaded with software offering image editing and manipulation facilities

Trackerballs and Joystick

The Trackerball and Joystick alternatives are specifically designed to bring the point and click advantage of the mouse to users with under or exaggerated arm movement.
